Occasionally you’ll see homes with sale prices that end in 888.  This could mean the owners were just in a punchy mood.  Or it could mean that they subscribe to the Asian principle that the number 8, depending on the region, stands for things like wealth, prosperity, fortune, or goodness

If the reason is the latter, it is respectful, but not necessary by any means, to submit any offers or counteroffers with your number ending in 888 as well.  Extending this type of respect could be the ‘something extra’ that makes you stand out if there are multiple offers, or it just helps the overall process go smoother.
