Saw severed head
Half a head is better than none

It seems like they're finally getting it right. When I was younger, I always wondered why the hell amusement parks didn't capitalize on the obvious--current hit movies. In reference to Universal Studios, I love the classics and seeing Jaws rip out of the water is great as well as King Kong shaking the place apart is something to be treasured...

But it always felt like there was a laziness in not jumping to meet the demands of current horror and what was popular. I guess it makes sense since the time and money investment into a theme ride is substantial so if the horror movie in question doesn't have staying power than maybe it's best left alone.

Saw and it's ongoing sequels, though, have earned a spot in Universal and what better movie to build an actual walk-through theme for--and for Halloween night. ShockTillYouDrop.com got a preview of the upcoming event, the lucky bastards, and the creators of the amusement feature have taken all the best traps to include. It's one thing to view Saw and the resulting carnage of Jigsaw's antics from afar, but to walk into actual rooms with razor wire, steel traps and apparently bodies strewn around is going to soil some shorts.

I guess it would be too morbid to consider the possibility of something going wrong on the Saw walk-through theme, but ShockTillYouDrop.com quotes John Murdy, the theme park's creative director, as saying this: "As you (and your group) move down through the line, somebody from your group is going to get abducted and placed in a trap."

I keep hearing "lawsuit" in my head when I read that, but the idea sounds great. I would love to see some of my friends and enemies strapped into a Jigsaw trap. Halloween is definitely the time to visit Universal Studios.
