More Thanksgiving recipes
Probably more than the turkey itself, I enjoy the side dishes. Inevitably, that's what I find myself going back for and gnoshing on after the holiday is over. I'm presenting a list of several recipes I've published here before that I think would go well with the holiday feast. They're filled with autumn flavors and easy to make.
- Parsnip and Apple Soup A great start for the meal.
- Roasted Root Vegetables Maple syrup adds a deep, flavorful note to naturally sweet autumn vegetables. Roasting brings out even more of their sweet flavors.
- Celery Root Slaw Celery root and apples pair wonderfully in this recipe.
- Tangy Glazed Beets Gold beets, milder than their red cousins, are a perfect match for the tangy, citrusy sauce that develops as you cook them.
- Spicy New Year's Butternut Squash I developed this recipe for Rosh Hoshanah, the Jewish new year, but it would make a memorable addition to the Thanksgiving table.
