As a writer, sometimes you feel like you don’t know which way to turn when you’re preparing to send out queries. After all, what do agents and editors really want?
Do I put some bravado into my query letter or do I take a more humble stance?
Do agents expect exclusivity on queries?
How many sample pages should I send with my query?
I Twitter, and as a result I’ve discovered a place to get some of those questions answered. Literary agent Rachelle Gardner Twitters and maintains a blog that's a treasure to writers looking for advice. Today she Twittered an invitation to agents and editors who Twitter to occasionally post tips about the publishing business. If you Twitter, those tips will include the hashtag #PubTip. If you don’t Twitter, and you still want to take a peek at their advice you can find the posts online here.
