Rock Band 2 in stores tis week!

NHL 09 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) – And so the battle begins. EA Sports is making a case for having the best hockey game on store shelves this week. This year the Be A Pro feature, which you can create a player, is the big addition. It’s sort of a role-playing game in the hockey world.

NHL 2K9 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) – 2K Sports is not one to be shut down though. They’re also releasing their hockey game this week, looking to regain their lost crown. The biggest change would be the control scheme, making it simpler and a bit more fun. Plus you get the drive the Zamboni between periods!

Rock Band 2 Special Edition (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) – What else can you say about Rock Band 2 that hasn’t already been said? More music, more music and more music. Plus this time, more of it is the original songs from the original artist and fewer covers of the classics. There’s 15 more venues and you get to transport the songs you played on the original Rock Band game.

TNA Impact! (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2) – Of course you get to play as your favorite wrestling stars like Kurt Angle, Shark Boy and Christian Cage but most of your time will be spent working on creating your own wrestler and bringing him up from the gutter to the flashing lights.

Yakuza 2 (PS2) – This is the sequel to the original Yakuza, a Japanese gangster title, originally released on the PS2. But don’t fret, just because the sequel is on the old PS2 format, doesn’t mean that it’s not a solid game. The game is two-discs thick and has a story that is immersive and intense. Don’t sleep!

The Price is Right (Wii, DS, PC) – Yes, you get to play Three Strikes, the Shell Game, Punch-a-Bunch, Plinko and a bunch of other games from the TV show, but why would you want to? I guess it’s for those die-hard jobless fans who watch the show every day.

Hell's Kitchen(Wii, DS, PC) – What kind of game is Hell’s Kitchen? Well it features the TV show’s Gordon Ramsey and he judges you on your preparation, cooking and service. Can’t we just get a job at a local Red Robin?
