Midway Games was never able to get an NFL license to make an official NFL football so to spite the league, it seems, they created the Blitz franchise which seems to get wilder and wilder every year.

How wild?

Well, focus is on the injuries and late hits. The bad attitudes. And everyone is down to take some steroids to get back in the game! This year, Lawrence Taylor is back as Quentin Sands, comedian/actor Jay Mohr plays a slimy agent, and impersonator Frank Caliendo does his best John Madden impressions when calling the games.

This year, there's a new story from Peter Egan (ESPN's Playmakers), and even a deeper focus on hits. They've added "hit targeting" so you can determine how bad an injury you want to give an opponent. Actually, just watch the disturbing video below:
