Have a Playstation 3 but not sure what to ask for Christmas this year? Well, hopefully we can help you out as far as what the best PS3 exclusives are this holiday season – exclusive meaning that these games are only available for the Playstation 3. We’re assuming, of course, that you already have PS3 exclusive games that were released earlier this year like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and you want the latest and greatest. So here are the top five must-have PS3 games for the 2008 holiday season. Remember, these are games ONLY on Playstation 3:

5. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift – This is probably one of the best looking racing games on store shelves right now. The game is improved from the first one with more water, jungle and even some fire thrown in for good measure. There’s a nice collection of vehicles you’re able to ride ranging from motorcycles and ATVs to big rigs and monster trucks. If you like offroad racing and lots of mud, you can’t go wrong with this one.

4. Valkyria Chronicles – This is a tactical role playing game from Japan that it getting great ratings across the board. Even though it has a bit of a learning curve, the story is in-depth and the battle system is a unique turn-based scheme which gives the player control over individual units on the battlefield. The game is long and will keep you busy for hours. It’s well worth the $60.


3. Little Big Planet – Speaking of keeping you busy for hours, Little Big Planet seems like endless diversion. It’s a run-n-jumping game where not only do you get the levels that come with the game, but you also get to create your own and get access to the levels created by the hundreds of other players. Plus it’s one of the best looking games on the PS3.

2. BioShock – One of 2007’s best games is now on Playstation 3. Taking place in an underwater city in the early 1960’s, this first person shooter has a riveting story and nonstop action. Not only do you have a wide array of weapons in terms of firepower, but you also have the ability to freeze, burn, and  throw enemies, along with conjuring up swarms of bees or making enemies attack each other. The game is immersive and you won’t want to put it down. Although it's not a TRUE exclusive (it's been on Xbox 360 and PC for over year), it does have some great exclusive downloadable content and is automatically one of the best games for the PS3.

1. Resistance 2 – Taking place in the 1950’s an alien race called the Chimera has returned to the United States to take over the human race. You join a special task force called The Sentinels to battle the invaders and things seem to get worse as the days go by. The story is great, the gameplay is excellent, and the creatures and monsters are amazing to look at. This is definitely the best PS3 exclusive title coming out this holiday season. Can you handle it?
