When most people speak on first person games, titles like Halo, Call of Duty, or Unreal Tournament fall into the conversation. The common denominator with all those games is that they're shooters. You play a character who is carrying a gun and blasting people away.

Well, EA Games is trying to change that perspective with its new title Mirror's Edge. The game is a first-person "Action" game where it appears the female isn't packing any heat. The character is actually a parkour or "free running" expert that can run on walls, slide under pipes, run and jump across building with a tumbling landing and you actually get to see arms, legs, and parts of the body.

The main character of the game is a messenger. The world of Mirror's Edge is one where the powers that be strictly monitor the messages being sent, so in order to get secret messages across, revolutionary groups hire "runners." From the videos released, the game looks like it could be a success this holiday season. It hits stores for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 13.
