Parenting is a funny job. It's really hard work with no written, verified and definitive rules on how to do it. Oh there are books and blogs and folks like me, but no child comes with a baby-specific owners manual, so it's still pretty much trial and error on figuring out what works with your own kid.
Everyone has parenting goals - raise compassionate people, get them through college, do something better than your parents did, etc., but what are your resolutions? What did you do last year that you want to resolve to do better this year?
Several parenting blogs are talking about this very same topic:
My resolutions: be more patient, giggle more and get rid of the picture-perfect family moments I have in my head and embrace the really messy, not-so-perfect family moments.
