You'll be glued to the television tonight and chances are your kids will get easily bored with all the talk of electoral votes and exit polls. Bored kids can be a big distraction to the drama so here are a few tips to keep it fun and interesting.
Election Night Food: Red, white and blue food is a great way to keep the kids inspired. Imagine an hour or two of a happy silence while the kids make colored sugar cookies or popcorn balls. Other great snacks - blueberries, strawberries, white grape juice, pepperoni, blue corn chips and salsa - get creative!
Election Night Activities: Forget the brackets for March Madness, the contest of the night is color the electoral map! While most kids won't be able to stay up the entire night to see who wins, they can compete to see who in the family comes up with the right amount of red states and blue states!
Another great game - Pin the Tail on the Donkey or Pin the Trunk on the Elephant or print out simple coloring pages, which are always a great hit with the kids as well.
