Today in the Santa Chronicles, we've researched ways to get Santa to write your kids back! No, you and the kids don't have to write Santa threatening his reindeer - that would land you on the naughty list and possible put you up for investigation.
Now, through the marvel of technology, holiday spirit and the spirit of capitalism (the 4th Christmas ghost), parents can help their kids get a return reply to their carefully crafted Christmas wish list.
The holiday elves in North Pole, Indiana make it their business to give kids a reply, even sending a call out for more volunteers this Christmas to make sure every little one gets a reply. This service is free and open to the public:
Children should address their letters to:
Santa Claus, P.O. Box 1, Santa Claus, IN 47579 or parents can go online and request a letter through the Santa Claus Museum website: www.SantaClausMuseum.org. The museum is also taking donations for supplies for the elves, um, volunteers.
Another Web site allow kids to send emails to Santa through their site for free and then "reply" back:
More sites offer free print-outs so parents can create their own Santa reply letter:
Free Email from Santa on Christmas Eve
And of course, you can pay to have Santa spend a little quality time with your kids. There "letter packages" from various sites for various prices. One site even has Santa emailing from the field on Christmas Eve! My guess is he has a Blackberry or maybe and iPhone.
