Keep a bottle of cleaning solution and an old rag hidden in each room for quick clean up.

Cleaning is a necessary evil. An unfortunate, time consuming evil. Did I mention it was evil? But, there are ways to make it easier. Today's tip is about 10 minute cleaning. Short bursts of cleaning throughout the day will keep you from having to do a complete top to bottom at night or first thing in the morning.

Keep a basket (decoratively appropriate of course) in each room of the house and on commercial breaks or free moments load up everything that doesn't belong in that room in the basket. During another break take a basket and put the items where they belong.

Set a time limit and work on one room for that amount of time. Involve the kids in the time crunch and make a game out of it - "Who can put away all their toys before time's up?"
