Today's parent has more information on parenting then they'll ever need. Millions of Web sites, thousands of books and hundreds of magazines are all fighting for attention and claiming they have the best parenting advice. Who has time to shuffle through and find the best of the best? Well, we do and here you have, in no particular order, THE BEST PARENTING MAGAZINES!

  •  Parenting Magazine. A popular magazine that takes a more laid back look at parenting. Traditional glossy mag has great "best of" items where they test products and their Ages and Stages section is a must stop.

  • Adoptive Families Magazine. This mag is the leading magazine for adoptive parents and discusses issues that arise before, during and after adoption.

  •  Wondertime Magazine. This mag's focus is on kids and their learning practices and opportunities. Great wide page format, non-glossy pages and beautiful photography. Really informative child development features and fun crafts.

  • Parents Magazine. One of the most popular parent magazines out there, Parents has a strong, authoritative tone and great features.

  • Twins.  This magazine is chock full of information, advice and resources for parents who have the unique task of raising multiples.

  • Mothering Magazine. This magazine has a heavy emphasis on natural living and parenting. One of the oldest parenting magazines in the US, it has fantastic breastfeeding and natural living resources.

  • College Parent Magazine. For parents of college-aged kids this magazine focuses on getting students into college and how to foot the bill. The articles tend to be more on the negative side of college social life - drinking, sexual misconduct and crime, but still one of the better resources for parents who are involved in their child's college selection process.

  • Gay Parent. Now in it's 10th year, Gay Parent is published annually and features personal stories of gay, lesbian, trans gender and bi-sexual parents.

All these magazines are great, but it's important to find a parenting magazine that fits with your parenting style. So before you take out a parenting magazine subscription, take the opportunity to look through magazines you're interested in at the local library or browse through their Web sites to find the best fit for you and your family.
