I have planned a romantic retreat that will keep you asking for more. This little get away is one of my secret escapes for arousing your love life.

You’ll purchase your tickets online, easily, and at a great price for such an amazing excursion. Take the California Zephyr, which is a romantic train ride, up to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Catch your train at the beautiful and historic Union Station in Denver. (It hasn’t changed in decades, thankfully.) Bring your camera the views are exquisite! The trip will take approximately four hours, but on the train you’ll be able to get up and walk from car to car, visit the snack bar and grab a bottle of perrier and a bagel with cream cheese.

If you’re feeling restless you can slip down to the viewing car to watch the Colorado rocky mountains through the floor to ceiling glass walls. At meal time walk down to the dinning car and be treated like royalty by staff in heirloom-style costumes.

You’ll arrive well rested at the charming little train station, in Glenwood Springs. It’s a city so compact that you can easily walk to where ever you would like to go, (plan ahead and bring your bicycles on the train with you.)  You’ll be staying at an adorable Bed and Breakfast there called Mitchell Creek B&B. The staff will pick you up at the train station so you won’t have to concern yourselves with luggage. You’ll be glad to have pampered yourself with the luxury of this personal experience once you see where you’ll be staying.

Finding fine dinning in Glenwood is a challenge. There are so many fabulous places to eat, you’ll want to try them all. I would suggest the incredible seafood at Fin’s Grill and Raw Bar first, it’s sensational and the staff is as remarkable as the food.

The weekend will fly by, with so many wonderful little treats to fulfill your your every whim. You’ve got to check out the amazing Sacred Grounds coffee shop, it couldn’t possibly be any cuter. Lunch at Juicy Lucy’s for the incredible food and quirky decor. Around four o’clock you’ve got to drop in on the Glenwood Brewpub, the beer is unique and the energy is infectious! Don’t skip the gondola ride, seeing Glenwood from a birds eye perspective will take your breath away! The water slides at the Hot Springs will certainly bring back feelings of childhood joy. Then get a shot of adrenaline on a raft ride.  (It’ll be your only opportunity to moon the trains.)

Your weekend will be filled with eclectic places to eat, shop, and play. You’ll soon be asking yourself why you’ve waited so long to take this stunning get away.
