   Computers are great learning tools!

Preschoolers learn in a variety of ways, and with the extra time on their hands this summer, you may be looking for new ways to keep them busy - and learning!  With the world running on computers, it certainly isn't a bad idea to let your preschooler explore on a computer at home.

Make sure that your preschooler has guidelines when using the computer, including length of time they can be on and which websites they can use.  Here is a great list of sites that are fun and educational for preschoolers:

- Rupert Bear - Eco Explorers.  Colorful and interactive, this site offers preschoolers a number of games, painting and even teaches about recycling!

- Playhouse Disney.  All of your favorite Disney characters can be found on this great site, which has an endless amount of activities.  Not only can preschoolers play games, but parents can print off activities and watch TV shows as well.

- PBS Kids.  Music, coloring, games, and videos - your preschooler will find so much on this interactive site with many of their favorite characters.  Easy to navigate, this site includes reading as well!

- Nick Jr.  Another site with familiar characters, preschoolers can have a blast playing at the arcade or watching videos.  This site is a great tool for parents as well, and offers recipe, travel and party ideas.

- Goodnight Stories.  Want to read a book online?  This site allows preschoolers to read an endless number of books on the computer.  Choose from a variety of stories both long and short, some written by other kids.  Or, get your preschooler dabbling into some poetry.

- Kid's Corner.  This site brings back all the classic stories, such as Peter Rabbit and Miss Moppet.  Enjoy reading the original books online with your preschooler and looking at all the beautiful pictures!

- ABC Toon Center.  This site has lots of classic games, such as Tic-Tac-Toe and Dot-to-Dot.  The cartoons are friendly and the site is colorful, keeping your preschooler learning and entertained for hours!

Want More?  Here is a great read on easy ways to keep your preschooler learning throughout the day!  It's never been easier - and you'll feel better knowing that the world is a learning ground for your child.
