No doubt about it. Sports equipment is expensive and the best way to get around that is to buy used equipment.

If the equipment is for children, lots of schools have swaps. At these events you can buy all of the sports paraphernalia they'll ever need with the added bonus of selling the sports equipment they've outgrown.

Typically the school takes a part of the profit from your sales but you get to pocket the rest.

If there's not a sports swap at your school - start one.

Other good places to find or sell used sports equipment for children or adults is Play It Again Sports, eBay, and don't forget about all those garage sales.
