"Diversions Needlepoint" touts itself as “art” and not "craft" and you can see why with all the gorgeous hand-painted canvases scattered throughout the store! The store is tucked in a small mall off Hampden and East of Broadway.

The lovely shop has a table right at the front where needle-workers can gather and work while positively drooling over the amazing selection of thread. Everything from silk to cotton and wool (plus hemp and a few other oddities) can be found here.
I was on the hunt for crewel – and they not only carried it, but had a HUGE selection and were able to match my color exactly!

The ladies in the store are really helpful and open to needle-workers of all types and ability level!

Their website looks like it’s undergoing a redo – so I suggest calling and asking about classes and what they call “finishing services” – where they will take your needlework and finish it into stockings, ornaments, pillows, frames or much more.
