
Here it is 2009, and those Colorado Republicans are still having trouble adjusting to life with the internets. Republican caucus chairs Sen. Mike Kopp of Littleton and Rep. Amy Stephens of Monument accidentally posted their Youtube response to Governor Ritter's State of the State address the night before the speech was actually given. Whoops!

The Denver Post is reporting that Troy Eid will resign his post in the U.S. Attorney's office, return to his old law firm Greenberg Traurig, and then run for Attorney General next year.
State Sen. Chris Romer (D- Denver) and Denver political consultant Michael Stratton are both involved in the Bill Richardson pay-to-play investigation in New Mexico, the Denver Post is reporting. Romer was lead banker at JP Morgan Chase when Chase underwrote $1.6 billion in bonds for the state of New Mexico, Stratton was paid $269,000 by the bank for landing the state's business.

As Michael Bennet prepares to step into Ken Salazar's seat in the U.S. Senate, he is already making demands of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Bennet has told Reid that he would like to be placed on the Senate Agriculture Committee, calling the placement his, "number one goal." Bennet is joining Governor Ritter in a tour around the state to introduce Bennet and discuss public issues.
