Colorado Politics Examiner
Matt Wolf has been a political know-it-all since the age of 4, when his parents would trot him out to recite the names of Governors and Senators for their dinner party guests. Cutting his teeth in Indiana state politics, Matt has years of valuable experience throwing candy at children during parades. He grew up in Littleton and has returned home after eight years of fighting traffic in Los Angeles.

John Edwards Coming To Denver - NOT!

August 20, 3:02 AM

Photo from jalopnik.com
John Edwards has officially announced that his radioactive self will not be setting foot in the Mile High City for next week's Democratic Convention.

That collective sigh you just heard was the sound of disappointment of our city's (relatively few, compared to New York and Los Angeles) 40-year old blonde cokeheads that were holding out hope for an Edwards visit.

If you're interested in the details of Edwards cheating on his cancer-stricken wife with legendary '80s NYC party girl Rielle Hunter (literary brat-packers Jay Mcinerney and Bret Easton Ellis both based characters on her), then check out this hilarious Newsweek profile on Hunter.

Also, here's a podcast of Don Imus talking with political analyst Craig Crawford about the Edwards story. Imus really loses it here, it's priceless. My favorite moment is when Imus refers to Newt Gingrich (who also cheated on his cancer-stricken wife) as a "fat bastard."

I have to confess, even though I never bought Edwards as a presidential candidate, I truly thought that he would make a great Attorney General.

Between Edwards and Elliot Spitzer, what is it with highly skilled lawyers that are itching to take on corporate America? Why do they have to be so stupid when it comes to women? Uggghh.
