Marilyn Musgrave
Politico is reporting today that Marilyn Musgrave not only has yet to concede defeat to Betsy Markey, but that she also has not even thanked her campaign staff, as is customary at the end of a race. In fact, rumors are spreading around the 4th Congressional District that Musgrave has "all but disappeared."
The very small part of me that feels sorry for this woman imagines that Musgrave has "gone bamboo," sitting on a beach with a margarita in her hand, listening to the excellent new Little Joy record. More likely however, is that she is alone in a tent out in the middle of nowhere, sticking her head out to scream at anyone who comes near, "This is Marilyn Musgrave's district! Marilyn Musgrave's!"
I doubt that we've seen the end of her. See ya Next Time Around, sweetheart.
