Lost in the debate about the public option, pre-existing conditions, and anti-trust exemptions is the fact that real people will be affected negatively or positively by reform.  So far no health care ad has been able to capture the emotion behind reform to such a degree to actually influence the debate.  That may have changed with the release of this ad below by Americans for Stable Quality Care.  ASQC clearly comes from a pro-reform angle though they do not get mixed up in the details of reform.  Instead they make their case by telling a very moving story with almost no words at all.  At times politics have been influenced by "game-changing" ads like the Willie Horton ad attacking Michael Dukakis, the swift boat ads attacking John Kerry, and the Thelma and Louise ads attacking the Clinton health care reform proposal.  By appealing to the heart rather than rhetoric this ad may become the game changer of the health care reform debate.
