 2009 Saab 9-3 Convertible 2.0T Special Edition

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Saab Convertible, Saab is introducing (what else?) a special edition called, aptly enough, the Special Edition.

The Saab 9-3 Convertible 2.0T Special Edition, to use its full name, gets cosmetic spiffs from the Turbo X and Aero models. From the Turbo X come design of the front bumper and steering wheel plus carbon fiber interior finishes and black floor mats with grey binding. The Aero contributes dual exhaust pipes and an anthracite grey bumper insert. The Special edition also gets special five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels.

Three colors will be offered on the Convertible Special Edition, Jet Black, Carbon Grey and for those wishing to drive completely within the bottle, a new Bright Champagne (shown).

As its name suggests, 2.0T Convertible Special Edition will be available only with Saab’s energetic 2.0-liter, 210 hp four cylinder engine with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.

The 2009 Saab 9-3 2.0T Special Edition will be on sale in January, 2009, but will be introduced the Los Angeles Auto Show opening to the public on November 22nd. Base price for the 2.0T will be $46,725.
