Fishing in Mexico-fish tales part 3
Wrapping up the final chapter of summer fishing in Puerto Penasco is hard to do as many fisher persons are still hard at work throwing their lines to catch the big one that got away in the beautiful Sea of Cortez in Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico. .JPG)

One might think the video says it all in
Fish tales part 2 but perhaps the photos below will tell the true fish story.
The second weekend of summer fishing the biggest fish was caught. Martin and Rene two great fishermen from a not to be missed local hangout in Old Port in Puerto Penasco,
The Thirsty Parrot, were there to witness and catch fish.
The big prize, a Sea of Cortez grouper, was close to 100 pounds with enough fish to feed a small village and as such was shared and enjoyed by all.
The
Sea of Cortez is home to one of the largest variety of species of fish and aquamarine life. Home to the humpback whale, leatherback sea turtles, and a large variety of rays, the sea is teeming with life and over 900 islands. Once quoted by Jacques Cousteau as the "world's aquarium" and the "Galapagos of North America". On a typical fishing day one can easily spot a mixture of fish, dolphin, and abundant surprises.
Hungry for seafood? Visit Puerto Penasco and stroll down the Old Port, the fisherman’s market and have your choice from shrimp, various species of fish, clams and scallops. Depending on the season your seafood urges will be fed.
