This sounds like one of the dumbest ideas to hit the comics-book page. Lockjaw, a teleporting dog owned by Marvel's Inhumans, is set to form his own team of Avengers - except they are all pets, according to these stories from Comic Book Resources, IGN and Newsarama.

Great Scott! I know people love to see pictures of puppies and little kids, but do they really have a hankering to see a super team made up for a big non-verbal space bulldog, a frog and a dragon? This one's gotta be for the kiddies.

We've discussed in the past how Marvel has been deconstructing its once-stalwart team of "Mighty Avengers" in order to goose interest in new iterations of this famous franchise. But this one, at least to my mind, is for the dogs.
