No fewer than 75 different comics-related movies are currently in the works, according to DenofGeek.com.

These run the gamut from Mark Millar's popular "Kick Ass" to a remake of Buck Rogers to "Super Max," a break-out-of-jail feature starring the Emerald Archer, Green Arrow. Frank Miller apparently has two "Sin City" sequels in the works, too.

Not all of these films will give you reason to cheer. There's been a fair share of comic-book stinkers, utilizing characters ranging from the Fantastic Four to the Punisher. I'd even argue that the last Superman film left people less than satisfied.

As the list shows, however, there will be plenty of opportunities by people trying to get it right.
