The Rams will start Trent Green against the Bills in Week 4. Apparently they forgot that Trent Green and Marc Bulger are basically the same guy, except Bulger is seven years younger than Green.
Hold onto Bulger in keeper leagues. The Rams have no QB of the future waiting in the wings, and Green is bound to get banged up sooner or later playing behind that weak offensive line. Bulger will be back soon enough, and he'll be the backup you don't mind starting from time to time when he has a great matchup.
Derek Anderson, on the other hand, is about an inch away from losing all fantasy relevance. He gets one more chance this week against the Bengals, but I don't see him holding onto his job for long even if he finally has a good game. Anderson is too inconsistent, inaccurate, and interception-prone; more Jon Kitna than Brett Favre.
The injured and slumping supporting cast isn't helping, but that's not the whole story. Even as Anderson surprised people on his way to the Pro Bowl last year, he only completed 56.5% of his passes. His passer rating was a modest 82.5. Take out three huge games and he had 18 TDs and 18 INTs in the other 13 games. And Brady Quinn is going to get his chance--all #1 picks do eventually. If you're an Anderson owner, trade him for whatever you can get before it's too late.
