Rudi Johnson thinks he could be in a new uniform before the opening game of the NFL season. He didn't play in the final preseason game amid the uncertainty at the running back position for the Bengals. Perhaps the team is worried about Johnson's lingering hamstring issues and would rather acquire more wide receiver help. This is a frustrating situation for fantasy football enthusiasts. If Johnson isn't moved, he will split time with Chris Perry and Kenny Watson, making them all pretty worthless for fantasy owners. On the other hand, if Johnson is moved, the Bengals could end up creating two valuable fantasy football commodities. Chris Perry would be the favorite to win the starting job for Cincinnati, and Johnson might eventually get a shot to start with a new team.
As Johnson said, "Stay tuned. Make sure you pay your cable bill."
All we can do is take his advice and wait.
