Talk about good timing. Just as a reader expressed his concern over Jackson's high position in the running back rankings (and I responded that the holdout should be over soon), the St. Louis running back just ended his holdout.

The surprising part is that jackson is the one who backed off. The lack of RB depth suggested that management would eventually have to give in to his demands for a new contract. Instead, Jackson finally agreed to last month's demand that he would have to report to camp before any more contract renegotiations would take place.

Time will tell whether Jackson's fantasy numbers benefit from his freshness or crash due to injury--past holdouts have often met one of these two fates.
