Missed the bookish releases for January and February? Take a look at them here.
March
03/06 The Watchmen: I cannot wait for this adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' classic graphic novel of vigilante, and all too human, superheroes in an alternative world teetering on the edge of nuclear disaster. Even if you sniff disdainfully at graphic novels as a genre, please give this one a try: you'll be amazed at its intelligence and depth.
03/13 Race to Witch Mountain: Based on Alexander Key's sci-fi novel Escape to Witch Mountain, this film picks up the story of the orphans with paranormal abilities 30 years after the original 1975 movie adaptation of the book ends. This version stars Dwayne Johnson and AnnaSophia Robb.

05/15 Angels and Demons: Tom Hanks uncovers more ancient secrets in this sequel to Dan Brown's wildly successful (and controversial) Da Vinci Code. This time, Hanks searches out the Illuminati, a murderous secret society.
June
06/12 The Taking of Pelham 123: Based on Morton Freedgood's 1973 thriller novel of the same name, this film adaptation stars Denzel Washington and John Travolta. The story is a good old-fashioned nail-biter about a group of hijakers that takes a group of subway passengers hostage.
06/26 My Sister's Keeper: Get your hankies ready for this adaptation of Jodi Picoult's emotionally charged story of a young woman seeking to become medically emancipated from her family in order to prevent her parents from forcing her to donate a kidney to her dying sister. Stars Cameron Diaz, Alec Baldwin, Sofia Vassilieva, and Abigail Breslin.
