Obama’s first judicial nominee David Hamilton is an perfect example of what is to come. It is vital that conservative’s fight this nomination. Hamilton is an Indiana native. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Haverford College in 1979 followed by his J.D. Yale Law School. He has worked as a law clerk for the very liberal Judge Richard Dickson Cudahy. He then worked in private legal practice in Indianapolis from 1984 until and 1989 as an associate at the law firm of Barnes & Thornburg. He served as legal counsel to Indiana Governor Evan Bayh from 1989 until 1991. Hamilton returned to Barnes & Thornburg in Indianapolis, he worked his way to partner in 1991. In 1994 he was appointed to bench for southern District of Indiana. So now he has been chosen for U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
Ok Bill what is wrong with him? If I told you Obama is going to support a man that has attacked first amendment rights, made it easier for child sex offenders to move around Indiana by invalidating a law designed to protect children. He ruled against waiting periods for those women seeking abortions. Was a fundraiser for the corrupt group ACORN you know the same group that that submitted thousands of fraudulent voter registration cards. Would you say yea right I suppose he used to work as an ACLU lawyer to. Yup that is true.
Besides all the above here is more reasons for rejecting him. What appears to be vast liberal media bias including the ABA (American Bar Association) to see him on the bench. Tell me why in 1994 did the ABA rate him as “not qualified” when Bill Clinton appointed him? Today, the ABA gave him the highest standard they give “Well Qualified”.   A standard higher than recent appointee’s William G. Myers, William Pryor, Janice Brown, Thomas Beall, James Payne, oh here’s one you all know Samuel Alito WQ with 1 recusal. So I guess the ABA thinks this Hamilton is more qualified than Samuel Alito. Well what do all these under qualified judges have in common? They are all considered conservatives. You see the ABA gives higher ratings to liberal judges that are more in tune to the Trial Lawyer Association lobby. Oh they try and cover it up after all they gave a “Well Qualified” to a superb Lawyer like John G. Roberts. However, in general they do not like conservative Lawyers’.
The media has described Mr. Hamilton as a “moderate” CNN, New York Times all describe him as moderate. Yet the facts are shocking on some of his rulings. His corrupt ties to acorn, and ACLU attorney should raise flags to all conservative’s. Nope, the not so conservative and wimpy republican Senator Richard Lugee I mean Lugar said he supports his nomination. So much for voting to do the right thing I wonder what Lugee got for his support. I guess since he is from the same state as Senator Lugee that will make him a good judge? I can think of no solid reason to vote for this judge. Bill isn’t that a similar record to other Liberal Judges? Well yes but here is one difference.
You see judge Hamilton made this ruling In November 2005, Hamilton drew headlines for ruling that the Indiana state legislature is not permitted to begin its sessions with Christian prayers, and that invocations must not use names like Jesus Christ or Christian terms like savior. Hamilton concluded that using proselytizing words in invocations at the statehouse violated the Consititution "All are free to pray as they wish in their own houses of worship or in other settings," Hamilton wrote. "Those who wish to participate in a practice of official prayer must be willing to stay within Constitutional bounds." You see every state and even the U.S legislature has had a similar tradition since the inception of this nation. His attack on this nation’s founding fathers core beliefs and disregard for state tradition show that this judge is not qualified to be on the bench. No honorable person should support this poor excuse for a Judge.
