Change you don't need

Jared Polis District 2 Democratic Congressman of Colorado which also includes Thornton has shown us how change is not necessarily good. I met Jared at my Church during the campaign and was impressed that he came into “hostile territory” to promote himself. No, I still did not vote for him but at least he came to church and sat through the entire service.  To his credit he stayed around after the service and visited with people. That is a good thing and so far the only good thing. So where does he stand on the issues?

Congressman Polis refused to take the Political Courage Test by project vote smart (a non partisan group).  Indicating, he does not want you to know where he stands with the issues.  However, we can get a good idea of his short voting record where he stands.   Jared has strong record of voting with the Democratic Party, in fact his 100% compliance shows how partisan he really is.  Congressman Polis showed us his thorough understanding for a bill he had not read, the massive Obama spending bill. I am sorry the Democratic politicians call it a “stimulus” bill. Apparently, the Democratic Party must have told him how to vote because no one had a chance to read it before it was passed. Mr. Polis recently supported the Obama bloated budget bill with over 8500 earmarks. Unfortunately, this also shows his poor fiscal responsibility with your tax dollars.

But that isn’t all. Jared Polis has showed his poor judgment when he took partial credit for” killing” the Rocky Mountain News. The fist Colorado newspaper with over 150 years of continues service. I delivered the Rocky as a Kid and like many others enjoyed its design and articles. So why is Polis so happy in contributing to its death? Polis said in a recent Denver Post article “It’s important for all of us to reach out to some those on the other side and present the progressive point of view”.  Apparently the Rocky Mountain News was to “conservative” for his taste. I guess Jared is telling us that if 200 Coloradoans lose their jobs, it’s ok as long as it helps progressives get out their message. That is reaching out alright and giving us his middle finger. 

Congressman Polis isn’t showing good leadership he campaigned on. He is demonstrating he follows Democratic marching orders no matter what the cost to the Nation, the State, and people of Thornton. This is not change that we need in Washington. Unfortunately with Mr. Polis we are the ones who will suffer.
