Swedish furniture store IKEA will be building a store in Colorado the Rocky Mountain News reported yesterday. The only issue is when. A conference was held Wednesday with IKEA officials at Centennial City Hall, they stated the store will be north of the Park Meadows Mall. However construction won't begin until they buy land, draw plans and build a distribution center for the merchandise. IKEA says they currently have 75,000 customers in Colorado and have been looking to build in the state for the past three years. The store will bring hundreds of job positions and draw shoppers from surrounding states. Customers who don't buy on-line have to travel to Draper, Utah which is currently the closest store. I only hope popular clothing store H&M (also Swedish) follows suit and also comes to Colorado.
