An estimated one billion people are expected to watch the Michael Jackson memorial service broadcast, some in need of a Jackson memorial events TV schedule with the celebrities anticipated to appear. While it is to be a somber event, stars will come to sing and speak about the legendary entertainer and honor his accomplishments and life.

Several TV stations and cable outlets will broadcast live feeds of  Michael Jackson remembrances, including celebrities, to honor the late King of Pop.The actual funeral is a private affair to be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. 

Monday, the Jackson family announced the anticipated guests and speakers to include celebrities Ron Boyd; Kobe Bryant; Andrae Crouch Choir; Berry Gordy; Jennifer Hudson; "Britain's Got Talent" finalist Shaheen Jafargholi; Magic Johnson; Martin Luther King III; Bernice A. King; John Mayer; Lionel Richie; Rev. Al Sharpton; Brooke Shields; Pastor Lucious Smith; Usher; and Stevie Wonder.

Michael Jackson memorial service TV schedule of events

Hosted at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on July 7, the Michael Jackson memorial service begins at 10:00 a.m. PST. The service is as follows:

Schedule of events (EST)

10:00 a.m. - Doors to the Staples Center open

11:00 a.m. - Live feed from outside the Staples Center

11:30 a.m. - Live shots of celebrity arrivals.

12:00 p.m. - Ceremony begins

3:00 p.m. -  Live coverage of memorial scheduled to end.

All memorial TV broadcast times are Pacific:

MSNBC begins TV coverage first at 8 a.m., CNN with Anderson Cooper will begin at 9 a.m., and Fox News with Shepard Smith will cover the Michael Jackson memorial events live all day, from 9 a.m.

Special programming covering the day’s events and celebrity appearances will air in the evening as well, to including Dateline and 20/20 as reported by the LA Times.

E! Entertainment and TV Guide Network will carry the ceremony live broadcasting from the Nokia Center and on site and will also have exclusive celebrity coverage.

Local TV Schedule: CBS and NBC will broadcast live from the Staples Center at 8 a.m. Visit MyFox.com to find your local station and event coverage.
