
It's official! According to local sources, through KBS Films, Oxfordshire village of Kingston Bagpuize, England, and its surrounding areas, are all part of the filming of The Husband Obedience Trials. Filming is currently under way.
To help kick off the beginning of filming The Husband Obedience Trials, jets Red Arrows performed a special fly-over for the film.
Writer and director Guy Browning, along with many of the villagers involved in the production, were featured throughout the day on BBC Oxford television news on Monday, June 22nd.
BBC NEWS: Mr Browning, an acclaimed writer, broadcaster and humorist, says the idea for the film was to give villagers a fun project to get involved with. Mr. Browning:
It's a pretty grim time out there, with the recession and all. So we decided to make a film that was fun to make, fun to be in and fun to watch."
The production team is hoping to secure a distribution deal, and aiming for The Husband Obedience Trials to hit big screens by fall 2010.
The camera crew, who visited during the first day of production, Sunday June 21st, captured footage of the actors as they tried on their horse costumes among other busy filming-type preparations. They also got footage at Kingston Bagpuize House, one of the main filming locations.
The film's production company has extended an invite for all extras to be in the film (pretty much to local residents). They are currently looking for extras to take part in a number of different scenes in the film.

British actress, Lesley Staples, from the Calendar Girls, is one of the key talent in this film.
