In August 2009, there was talk about an A&E reality special about the Jackson family.  The latest now is that it will become a full series.  The reality special had been shot months before Michael Jackson’s death on June 25th, and it had focused on brothers Randy, Marlon, Tito and Jermaine, (Jackie, wasn't mentioned, and he would make five).  So will there be another Jackson 5?

One thing all Jacksons agree on, they will never forget where they came from...

After all, there were six Jackson brothers, and even with the tragic loss of brother Michael, there are still five brothers for another, continuance of Jackson 5!  Although that is not necessarily the thought pattern of the remaining brothers nor of the family itself, as Michael would never be forgotten.

According to AP reports the reality show was about the siblings planning out a Jackson family reunion concert.  Shooting of the show ended in early June, and reports also said that Michael did not participate in the show, but other sources say he did, their mother, Katherine, too.

As of November 6, 2009, it looks like the footage taken for the reality special, will instead, now, become a series.  According to EW.com, A&E has announced that The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty will premiere on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. ~ Past behind-the-scenes

The network's press release says that the show will follow Michael Jackson's brothers' lives, that of all five, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy.  The initial footage will be that of the brothers as they prepared for a Jackson Five reunion.  Since the initial footage, Michael died. Additional and continued footage will contain the brothers coming to terms with the loss of their brother. Included will be their rehearsals for the 40th anniversary concert as well as the recording for a song from the This Is It soundtrack.

Other sources also say that more of the Jackson family might be included, MJ's children as well.  Come December 13th and/or in following shows, the world will find out. ~ This Is It from around the world

A week after the show premieres, December 20th, the show will move to its scheduled time slot, that of Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
