Updating yesterday's Roland Burris story, it appears that the Senate Democrats, as they were always going to, have caved and agreed to seat Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich's appointee for the vacated seat of President-elect Barack Obama.

The only suprise here is just how little time it took for the Democrats to do a complete U-turn from what they had been saying for the last two weeks.
