Planning a vote for John McCain?

In the event of a super tight race in crucial swing states Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana, John McCain may have an untapped, unnoticed voter source that can tip him over the top. The Amish.

According to Newser, the supposedly Republican Amish may come out in the hundreds of thousands in big swing states and push McCain into the win column in states that might otherwise go either way.

When they do vote, Amish are thought to be 100% Republican because of their views on abortion, Benjamin Sarlin writes in the Daily Beast; George W. Bush was able to mobilize the reclusive Amish vote in 2004.

There are an estimated 231,000 Amish across the three states.

Looks like McCain is throwing everything but the washing tub into the mix in these last weeks of desperation. He better hope that Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana do not have electronic voting machines...
