Housing Works, rife with designer gems at rock bottom prices, is undoubtedly one of the best thrift stores in New York. But if digging through racks and racks of slightly musty clothes isn't your thing, you can now browse their selection of used clothes, vintage finds and house wares from the comfort of your computer.
The shopping section of the site is similar to eBay, minus the auction sharks and overwhelming amount of merchandise. Most of the items are "Buy it Now" style so you won't have to bid. But if you feel like trying your luck on with the auction, you can usually get much better deals than eBay since the site isn't as heavily trafficked.
A scan of the website turned up a Marc Jacobs jeweled cardigan for $55, a Diane von Furstenberg baby doll dress for $85, a drapey Marni top for $65, a Valentino suit set for $65, and a pair of Stuart Weitzman pumps for $50. If clothes aren't your thing, there are also deals on furniture and other household items like vintage posters and furniture.
