Bright Economic Times For Some Restaurants

According to this report inThe State Journal of West Virginia, Monongalia County’s unemployment rate of only 2.5 percent is making it hard for restaurants to find employees.
There are other bright spots in the economy. In a sidebar to a story about dying cities, Yahoo! listed the 10 Top (Home) Sellers Markets:
1. Raleigh, NC
2. San Francisco, CA
3. Austin, TX
4. San Antonio, TX
5. St. Louis, MO
6. Houston, TX
7. Portland, OR
8. Dallas, TX
9. Denver, CO
10. Baltimore, MD
And, this week, Forbes Magazine listed the Ten Best Places to Earn a Living.
Forbes contrasted these boomtowns with places like Phoenix where, due to falling home prices, customers lack the discretionary income to spend in shops and restaurants.
But even some boomtowns are being affected by rising economic concerns. San Francisco’s unemployment rate recently crept up to 5.8 percent.
