The U.S. Team won its 6th Presidents Cup at Harding Park in San Francisco (AP/Jeff Chiu)

The United States bested the International team 19 1/2 to 14 1/2 in the 2009 Presidents Cup on a team effort that featured key performances from the three best golfers in the world. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker accounted for more than half of the U.S. team's points, and much, much more of its momentum.

Harding Park set to shine on world golf stage:The scene at Harding before the crowds showed up. The 2009 Presidents Cup is set to get underway at Harding Park here in San Francisco, and grounds crews were abuzz with final preparations. Even though practice rounds officially start on Tuesday, there were a few players out on the course today getting some early practice in.
Tuesday's Practice Round (Pt. 1): The 2009 Presidents Cup may not officially begin until Thursday, but there was plenty of action at Harding Park during Tuesday's practice round. Both the International and US squad got in full practice rounds, offering the golfers their first real good look at Harding Park's revamped layout.

  Woods and Stricker lead U.S. Team surge to take back lead in 2009 Presidents Cup: Momentum is everything in match play events, and in the early goings of the first round of the 2009 Presidents Cup the International Team had the U.S. squad on the ropes. The sixth and final match was just five holes into their round, and already the U.S. was behind in four of the six matches.

   Photo Gallery of Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker's Friday round: In Friday's play at the 2009 Presidents Cup, Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker took it to Geoff Ogilvy and Angel Cabrera, defeating them 5&3. Through Friday's round Woods and Stricker had yet to trail in the 2009 Presidents Cup.
  Undefeated Woods and Stricker lead Team USA to 12.5 - 9.5 lead in 2009 Presidents Cup: Steve Stricker did most of the heavy lifting in Saturday's third and fourth rounds of play at the 2009 Presidents Cup, making seven birdies on Saturday. But it was his playing partner Tiger Woods who brought the house down with show-stopping shots to save or win matches.
   U.S. Team wins 2009 Presidents Cup 19.5 to 14.5: The United States clinched the 2009 Presidents Cup this afternoon at Harding Park, besting the International Team 19.5 to 14.5. The U.S. team won six of the twelve singles matches on Sunday and halved two more to handily defeat the International team and bring home the Cup for a sixth time.
   Woods crushes Yang to give 2009 season some Yin: Tiger Woods ended the 2009 Presidents Cup with an exclamation point on Sunday, defeating Y.E. Yang 6&5. It was the most lopsided win of all five rounds of the event, and a clear statement win by Woods.
