The savory flavor of the cream cheese mixes wonderfully with the sweetness of the fruit in this recipe. Make this bars for any Holiday or gathering. They are a great treat to make any day of the year.

 

 

 

 

Blueberry Cream Cheese Bars

 

Crust:

  • 1 ½ cup flour
  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

 

Preheat oven to 350*.

Line a 9x13 pan with no-stick foil.

Mix all ingredients together.

Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, just until brown.

 

Filling:

  • 2 containers (8 oz ea.) of whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, room temp
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp crushed pineapple
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling

 

Cream the cheese. Add whipped topping, sugar and pineapple to it.

Spread over cooled crust.

Spread pie filling over mixture.

Cut into squares and serve warm.

Store air tight in refrigerator.

These bars can be eaten warm or chilled.

You can also top each bar with morwe whipped topping when serving.
