Celebrate with the British, the annual Guy Fawkes Night, as central Florida lights the night sky with bonfire flames, in mutual remembrance with our allies across the pond, recognizing the foiling of an attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

This November 5th, flames will reach to the heavens, touching upon that distant November 5th, 1605, when the infamous Fawkes and other conspirators, unsuccessfully attempted to light up that night so long ago. Just as American’s know the attempts against our government, so too do our English friends.

Adding to the event’s joy will be a evening of eating, drinking and making marry. The international flavor includes toffee apples and baked potatoes, with those all-American favorites such as hamburgers, hotdogs, beer, wine and soda along for celebratory fun.

Activities have been expanded for this year’s event, and now include costume contests and fireworks, along with the music and bonfire.

Guy Fawkes Night is a family-friendly event, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Osceola Heritage Park, the bonfire lighting to take place at 7:30 p.m.. Admission is $5.00 per adult, $2.00 per child.
