Nationwide pet photo shoot to benefit therapy and shelter pets

If you’ve been wanting a photo of you and your pet, but don’t have anyone to hold the camera, stop at one of 3,000 Walgreen stores on Saturday, September 26, between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to get a 5x7 photo, a CD with the photo, and a special gift or your pet for only $5.99.

Even better, Walgreens will donate $5 of your cost (split evenly) to the Delta Society and Best Friends Animal Society. So it's a really cool fundraiser that has the potential to help two great animal groups.

For more than 30 years, Delta Society has promoted the power of pets to improve the health and well-being of humans. Through its Pet Partners program, more than 10,000 specially-trained volunteers take their pets to cheer up hospitalized patients, visit seniors in nursing homes, work side-by-side with physical therapists and much more.     

The Best Friends facility in southern Utah is the nation’s largest sanctuary for homeless animals, and is home on any given day, to about 2,000 dogs, cats and other animals. Through its network, Best Friends helps local communities across the nation and around the world to rescue animals in distress,set up humane education programs, and help pet owners in disasters.
