Welcome to another review on an erotic site. Please note the site is intended for adults 18 and older. If your easily offended please stop reading. Seriously. This is a review, and as such I am presenting an overview of an erotic site.
Literotica is a no holds bar site dedicated to the art of getting off. The site has been around for years, and I actually became aware of it via a book circa 2001, one of those erotic anthologies. I found it an interesting concept at the time, that they published amateur writers work, and to the writer in my soul, I was intrigued by the idea of writing my own stories to finally be published even if I wasn’t getting paid for it.
It is also rated on the quality of the story (i.e. how hot the story is). As a reader you can give feedback, and as a writer, the feedback is a good way to improve your writing. A great place for those people who want to write in this genre as it is a community of other writers who write in the same genre.
The interesting dichotomy of the site is how it is broken down into these different sections that can take you very many places, but the part I am focusing on is the story section. In this section links are broken down from a bulletin board, help with your writing, and personals to the meat and potatoes of the site, the stories. This section is free and so some of the stories written can be anywhere from subpar to excellent.
A word of warning. There are quite a few different stories that reflect what the human minds finds sexy. So there are stories that will definitely offend. The stories range from Anal, Erotic Horror, to Taboo. The last one is what you think it is and yet, it is the section with the second most stories offered. I wonder what a psychologist would say about that?
There is also erotic poetry and non-erotic poetry which does not make much sense to me (as this is an erotic site) but people are getting published so I guess that is cool.
You can also take your erotica enjoyment to the next level. They have audio stories (again free), showing that this site definitely loves to titillate all senses.
One thing though. There are advertisements for their VOD (video on demand) and other “porn” style ads, so a word of caution when going to the site. Some of the stuff listed here makes this site a two-sided coin between erotic and porn. Could be why it is so popular.
Overall it is another site catering to the erotic lover in you. It is simplistic in how it is presented but underneath the blues and whites, it is a hot bed (literally) of sexy stories waiting to be read by you.
