Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is divided into the armies of Order and the armies of Destruction. Constantly at war with one another, both armies have ten distinct classes spread out among three different races. Each class also has mastery paths that allow them to specialize in certain skills.

Balance exists between the armies of Order and the armies of Destruction. As such, each class has an equivalent in the other realm. While there are differences between the two classes, they share the same theme and tend to play the same basic role.
