Are you ready to battle back the Damned Hordes of the Lord of Chaos again? Divinity II, the sequel to Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, is due to be released this holiday season by cdv USA.
With an open-ended advancement system, players shift between the form of a human or a dragon, each of which opens up unique content. As a dragon, the player can fly to places no mere human could hope to see, but the gigantic winged creature is far too large to explore the various dungeons that litter the world of Rivellon. But perhaps the most interesting feature of Divinity 2 is to the ability to create your own pet out of body parts of those who you have defeated. This creature will take on abilities based on what body parts you choose and can be summoned to fight by your side once complete.
The quest system will allow you to solve missions in more than just one way, with your moral choices driving a unique story forward. And once you've conquered your Battle Tower, you can use it to enhance your items, create potions and train skills.
Divine Divinity was considered one of the better Diablo-clones, and Divinity 2 looks like it might be a great way to waste time until Blizzard delivers Diablo 3.
