Dragon Age: Origins, the upcoming highly-anticipated RPG from Bioware, is putting a big emphasis on story, and they've rounded up two big stars to help them do it. Tim Curry, who rose to cult status for his role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Kate Mulgrew, best known as Captain Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager, will lend their vocal talents to a cast that already includes Tim Russ, Claudia Black and Steve Valentine.
Tim Curry will play Arl Rendon Howe, a cultured and charming villain with an insatiable lust for power. Quite a departure from his role as Dale 'the Whale' on Monk, but definitely a role that's right up Curry's alley. And Kate Mulgrew gets to immerse herself in black magic as an immortal witch who will play a key role n the player's survival.
It's good to see the Bioware team putting a big emphasis on a well-produced story. It sounds like Dragon Age: Origins is going to be a good combination of what we loved best from Baldur's Gate (awesome story and fun gameplay) and what we loved best from Neverwinter Nights (custom mods and great community).
Will Dragon Age be the next great RPG?
