
While the iPhone isn't quite ready to compete with the DS in the gaming on the go category, it's definitely becoming a pretty cool distraction when you are out and about and is showing that the future of portable gaming is in our phones.
Here's a few of the big releases to the iPhone and iPod Touch app store:
Hacker Evolution. In this game, you pit your skills against a network of computers. Your goal: to hack as many as possible. You can use viruses and bounce your connection around to avoid being traced. Hacker Evolution is currently $.99.
Kryzer Prologue. This game will have you flying in circles in an inter-dimensional cyberspace glider while blasting down endless foes. You can also upload your scores to an international high scores list. Check out a hand-on trailer at YouTube. Kryzer Prologue is currently $.99.
Zenonia. Miss the days of classic action role-playing? Zenonia is a blast fromt he past delivering gameplay that "harkens back to Link to the Past, the bestselling 16-bit chapter in the long-running Zelda franchise" according to IGN. Zenonia is $5.99 and, unfortunately, there isn't currently a demo of it available.
Zooloretto. Released on Saturday, Zooloretto is a board game where players control a zoo and hope to attract visitors by managing the animals. It is based on a popular board game designed by Michael Schacht. Zooloretto is currently $4.99 from the app store.
