Peavey to show off Guitar Rising at CES 2009

It was about a year ago that a game in development called Guitar Rising made a bit of a splash on the web by taking the Guitar Hero concept and inserting a real guitar. Since then, there hasn't been much said about the game, which claimed the game would work with any real guitar.

But any rumors that it has gone the way of Duke Nukem' Forever might soon be quenched when Peavey introduces it at CES 2009. A musical instrument and gear manufacturer, Peavey will also be showing off some real wood video game guitar peripherals for use in Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band II.

However, Guitar Rising might get beat to the punch by Disney Star Guitarist. Disney Star Guitarist will also inject real guitars into the Guitar Hero model, though it will be aimed more at the tween crowd.
