PETA gives stamp of approval to chicken kicking in Fable 2

PETA might not know much about games, but I'll listen to Pamela lecture me for hours on end.
Who thinks Pamela Anderson
is a level 47 druid in
World of Warcraft?

PETA -- the animal lovers that everyone loves to hate, hates to love, or just likes to make fun of -- has announced their 6th annual Proggy Award winners and Fable 2 was named the Most Animal-Friendly Game of 2008.

And it didn't take long for Destructoid to point out just how clueless the peeps over at PETA are when it comes to video games.

"Yeah, that's great and everything, but PETA has clearly never played this game properly, otherwise it would know that the game also rewards players for KICKING CHICKENS IN THE CLUCKING FACE!"

Personally, I think Call of Duty: World at War should win most Animal-Friendly Game of 2008. After all, its primary theme is killing other humans, and the more humans that are killed the more animals are saved because we aren't eating them. Unless we want to go down the humans-are-animals route, in which case we get stuck in this paradox where depriving humans of eating animals is cruelty to animals for depriving them of a food source, in which case the eating of fried chicken would be considered very animal friendly.

Wow, when you think about it, trying to be animal-friendly has all the paradoxes of time travel.
